“Cognitive Science DIY (or CogSciDIY) is a new approach to public science outreach that draws heavily from the citizen science tradition. This program allows participants to lead the design of an accessible experiment from the ground up, starting with the selection of a research question and following through to the completion of data analysis. Unlike more traditional citizen science projects, the citizens here do not collect the data, but instead contribute to the scientific development process. The public can learn about scientific methods by doing science alongside qualified professionals.”

I worked alongside two web developers and a designer. I was in charge of developing some of the front-facing pages using HTML, SASS, and React-Bootstrap. Following Julie’s front-end templates, I helped with creating some of the admin pages. Additionally, I worked on the setup pages, emails templates, and data visualizations using d3.js
